Abstract
The suite of Interview Skills modules supports learners in preparing for a professional interview, from tips for creating a good first impression to strategies for asking thoughtful questions of the interview panel. The content and activities familiarize participants with a range of common interview formats, structures, and questions. Modules include:
Module 3.1 – Interview Preparation, First Impressions, and Etiquette This module includes content and activities that will help participants to prepare effectively for a professional interview. The module will also highlight strategies for establishing a positive first impression when meeting with interviewers.
Module 3.2 – Interview Types, Formats, and Structures This module includes content and activities that will familiarize participants with common interview formats and structures. The module also introduces participants to common types of interview questions.
Module 3.3 – Common Interview QuestionsThis module includes content and activities that will help participants to prepare effectively for a professional interview by anticipating common interview questions and preparing appropriate examples and responses.
Module 3.4 – Questions to Ask an Interviewer This module includes content and activities that will empower participants to demonstrate their interest in and enthusiasm for a position by asking thoughtful and effective questions of their interviewer(s).
Module 3.5 – After the Interview This module includes content and activities that will help participants to reflect upon their interview process and appropriately thank and follow-up with interviewers.
